MBA Leadzentrale

Lead and conversion tracking application of the Google Ads agency Mehr Baumpflege Anfragen (Stuttgart, Germany)

What this application does

MBA Leadzentrale is an internal web application operated by Mehr Baumpflege Anfragen, a Google Ads agency for tree-care businesses in Germany. The agency manages the Google Ads accounts of its clients through a Google Ads manager account (MCC).

The application has one purpose: to measure which Google Ads clicks lead to real customer enquiries, and to report those enquiries back to Google Ads as offline conversions, so that the clients' campaigns can be optimised.

To do this, it

collects contact enquiries from the clients' websites (contact form submissions and clicks on phone, WhatsApp and e-mail buttons) together with the Google click identifier (GCLID) of the visit,
shows these enquiries to the agency's staff in a dashboard, and
uploads the enquiries as click conversions into the Google Ads account of the respective client via the Google Ads API.

How the application uses Google user data

The application requests the Google Ads API scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords) on behalf of the agency's own Google account, which has administrative access to the clients' Google Ads accounts. With this access the application:

reads the list of conversion actions in each managed client account,
creates conversion actions of type “Import from clicks” if they do not exist yet, named “… (Import)”,
uploads click conversions (conversion action, GCLID, timestamp) into these accounts, and
switches conversion actions between “primary” and “secondary” at the agency's request.

The application does not read or modify campaigns, ads, keywords, bids, budgets or billing data, and it does not retrieve personal data of any person from Google. Data obtained through the Google Ads API is used only for the purpose described above, is not shared with third parties, not sold, and not used for advertising outside the respective client's own account. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Who uses the application

The application is not available to the public. Only employees of Mehr Baumpflege Anfragen sign in to it. The only Google account that authorises the application is the agency's own manager account. Clients do not need to grant any Google access.
